3. MEMBERSHIP
 
3.1 There shall be two classes of membership: Full and Honorary Members. These will be referred to as “Members”.
3.1.1 Full Member
Piper or Drummer who completes a membership application form and achieves the standard of piping or drumming set by the Committee. Full Members are required to attend Band practices and engagements regularly. They are required to wear clean and presentable Band uniforms (No.1 or No.2 as supplied/required) at all Band engagements, when performing solo for Band allocated events (eg. weddings) or appearing as a guest with another band. They are responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of their uniforms, but not for their purchase.
 
3.1.2 Honorary Member
At the Committee’s discretion, Honorary Membership may be offered. There is no compulsion, requirement or expectation for Honorary Members to attend Band practices, and any such attendance would be at the discretion of the Pipe Major according to requirements at the time. They may guest at engagements if they so wish, and shall be responsible for their own uniforms and instruments.
3.2 The Committee have the right to refuse or cancel membership of the Band.
3.3 Only Full Members are entitled to vote.
3.4 All Members will abide by the Rules of the Band, such Rules being set and agreed by the Committee elected according to Paragraph 6 of this Constitution.
