7 ADMINISTRATION OF THE BAND
 
7.1 The affairs of the Band shall be administered by the Committee. The Committee shall meet not less than four times a year. A quorum shall be five Members of the Committee.
7.2 The non-exclusive duties of the Committee shall be to:
7.2.1 Co-ordinate and represent the interests of the Band. This may include setting up Sub-committees as appropriate
7.2.2 Keep accurate accounts of the finances of the Band through the Treasurer. These should be available for reasonable
inspection by Members and shall be subject to an independent examination before every AGM. The Band shall maintain a bank current account and officers nominated by the Committee shall be authorised to sign Band cheques. Cheques must be signed by any two from those authorised. No Member of the Band shall receive any payment in the execution of their office, except that the Treasurer shall pay expenses supported by appropriate paperwork for any authorised expenditure. The financial year will run from 01 Nov until 31 Oct.
7.2.3 Make decisions on the basis of a majority vote. In the event of a hung vote, the Chairman shall be entitled to an additional casting vote.
