9. EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING
9.1 An EGM may be convened either by the Committee or
on receipt by the Secretary of a request in writing
from not less than 5 Full Members of the Band. At least
21 days notice of the meeting shall be given to all
Members.
9.2 Any band Member unable to attend, may apply to the
Secretary for a postal vote at the EGM .
10. AMENDMENTS TO THE CONSTITUTION
10.1 Any proposed amendments to the Band Constitution
may only be considered at an AGM or EGM. Any amendment
must be proposed by a Full Member of the Band and
seconded by another Full Member. To be accepted such
amendment must receive not less than two thirds of the
votes cast.
11. DISSOLUTION
11.1 If at any AGM or EGM a resolution is passed calling
for the dissolution of the Band, the Secretary shall
immediately convene an EGM to be held not less than one
month thereafter to discuss and vote on the resolution.
11.2 If at an EGM called to consider dissolution, the
resolution is carried by at least two- thirds of the votes
cast, the Committee shall thereupon, or at such date as
shall have been specified in the resolution, proceed to
realise the assets and discharge all debts and liabilities
of the Band.
11.3 After discharging all the debts and liabilities of the
band, the remaining assets; i.e. Uniforms, Instruments,
Music and any other Band properties shall be distributed by
the Band Members as they see fit, at the EGM.
