These are non-exclusive guidelines for the various officers
in the Band. They do not formally constitute any part of
the Constitution.
Chairman
To chair meetings of the Band
Committee.
Pipe Major
To have overall charge of the Pipe Band with the remit to
decide the Band members to parade.
To arrange the music and settings played.
To be responsible for training personnel in conjunction
with the Drum and Pipe Sergeants.
Secretary
To answer all enquiries, arrange transport and verify times
and locations of Band engagements.
Treasurer To run the Band
fund and maintain a record of all financial
transactions.
To make this record available to all Band members during
the AGM.
To keep the Committee advised of the financial state of the
Band at all times.
To receive all payments to the Band and issue cheques for
necessary equipment and services.
To arrange for formal auditing of accounts prior to
AGM
Quartermaster
To hold all un-issued items of uniform and instruments and
maintain a record of all band property.
To obtain estimates and upon approval order necessary items
of uniform, spares, nstruments and band equipment.
To issue uniform to Band members and obtain receipts for
issues.
To issue receipts for all returned Band property
Drum Major
To assist the Pipe Major in the standards of bearing,
discipline and appearance of the Band on parade.
To assist the Pipe Major in the maintenance and development
of high standards of parade, drill and ceremonial for the
Band.
Webmaster
To have charge of the Band web site. To maintain and update
the pages as necessary.
