A slightly different year to previous years in that we did less carnivals, due to weather and/or requirements, and more specific events, such as the Dartmouth Regatta. This might be the start of a changing trend, but we'll have to wait to see. Attempted to upgrade our No.1 tunics, but this was more fraught than imagined and will linger on into coming seasons. A highlight for some of us was the trip to Madrid, Spain where over and above expenses we raised £400 for the RNLI. It was also a time for developing new friendships as others from other bands joined us, and it would not have been the success it was without their input. Ken Garden has been promoted Pipe Sergeant, and both Jock and Glen have retired from the NCO camp (only). Jock remains as my advisor, and a special presentation was made to him at the AGM in recognition of his outstanding input to the band over the years. A huge thank you to everyone in the band for such a successful year.
