Experienced players:

There are currently places available for both pipers and drummers. Band pipers need only be Grade 4/3 level (RSPBA band graded), or Institute of Piping / PDQB Level 2(B) or above. Any age. Also looking for Pipe Band Side, Tenor and Bass drummers with or without your own instrument.

Help will be given toward the issue of uniforms in both cases. The music page can be viewed to see the sort of tunes we play.

The opportunity also exists for more expert pipers. Under the new schemes within the band, there is the opportunity for Juniors, the Main Band, and Competitive Level pipers to each perform their own repertoire while on parade. The bulk of the music will of course be the Main Band repertoire, currently shown on the music page, and all players (except novice juniors) will play this. Juniors will have additional basic tunes which they will perform unsupported by Seniors. Likewise, Competitive Level pipers will have additional MSRJH material. We are not a competition band and do not belong to the RSPBA, but Competitive Level players are encouraged to enter Solo Championships if they so wish. If you are a skilled Junior (under-18) or Senior piper or drummer, please get in touch with us.
